History Valsecito.

In the nineteenth century, the Viennese waltz is danced in Buenos Aires and Montevideo, with special boom in the upper classes, replacing the old dances and living with new rhythms: Havana polkas, and chotis.

The common people began to express the Viennese waltz, but in a different way, to suit your tastes and musical instruments.

SO born vals criollo; initially in the strings of the minstrels and later enriched by the contribution of immigration they brought the music and dances of their countries.

This phenomenon occurs in most South American countries, so that we can speak of Peruvian creole waltz, Venezuela, etc.

In Argentina, in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, the pace of MODA en the common people was definitely tango and tango-milonga. Therefore, the waltz starts playing with a typical implementation of tango and tango times and cadences. As used to be sung tangos, waltzes so were those, which clearly differentiates the Viennese waltz, which was never sung.

The differences in the dance are even more evident. The rhythm of the waltz is slower than the Viennese waltz. His SPEED is between one third and two thirds of the Viennese. This causes the waltz is a smooth and fluid dance that has nothing to do with the vibrancy and energy of its predecessor.

In the vals criollo pauses or stops so typical of tango are made, MAINLY because there are none in music.

The Dance

The waltz can be defined as a tango is danced waltz music.

FIGURES usually the same as the tango, but adapted to the rhythm of the waltz. Most tango figures can be made in the waltz, although some are more suited than others. For example, a hook may fit, but a combination of hooks is difficult to imagine in a waltz. In any case, tastes and sensations are different in every dancer, so if a figure roughly fits the waltz, depends MUCH dancer.

There are two different forms of dance a waltz; one with moving around the track, as the tango, and another based turnstiles and twists without moving, dancing in little over a square METRO. And it turnstiles and walks, although very different, are well suited to waltz.

A waltz is also called cross waltz. This is because the crossover step (when the dancers move their left or their right, at a time) is widely used in turnstiles, turns and walks on. The walking can be normal or cross to the left, the middle, or right of the girl. On the walk, you can intersperse other figures as eight, trips, or just rocking.

In any case, the question is not what figures to be done. As I said before, you can do almost all STEPS and tango figures. The question is adapted to music, and we're going Tango Compass 4x8, 3x4 to the rhythm of waltz.

The first is to identify the first half of the waltz, which is accentuated and step every time it rings. This means that you step tango for each measure (1-2-3) Waltz. Like the tango, you can double the SPEED on some steps, which in these parts two steps for each 1-2-3 music will be.

The walking is usually done step by compass, UNLESS goals missteps, and the turnstiles are better suited to the two steps per bar. The ideal is to alternate the two techniques, according to figures and music.

The more experienced dancers can dare to make three steps musical beat, but this requires a mastery of dance, and only seen in shows and exhibitions.
